Xiphactinus
Section Introduction
- Xiphactinus is often called ‘Bulldog Fish’ for its large teeth; its upper jaw was armed with large and conical teeth, approaching 7.5 centimeters in length. Xiphactinus is presumed to have been 3 to 6 meters long and around 500 kilograms in weight, similar to modern Tuna.
