  • Amphibians arethe first vertebrate that started to inhabit on land and poikilothermal animal whose body heat changes to surrounding temperature. They live in the water during the period of larva and live on the ground when they grow into adult. Amphibians include salamander, frog, toad, etc. Reptiles have evolved from amphibians and adapted themselves to the land. Thus their bodies have hard scales and hard skin and their eggs also have hard shells. Turtle, alligator, snake, and lizard belong to the reptile. Visitors can see seven kinds of amphibians at a amphibian diorama and various reptiles and Reeve’s Turtle, one of endangered animals in Korea.
