    How long does it take to walk around the museum?

    There are individual differences, but on average, it will take about two hours to view all the exhibitions in the museum.

    Where can I eat my picnic lunch?

    There are areas in Wood Hall and the Outdoor Park, however, on weekends where there are crowds, and group tour season, these areas may not be accessible due to limited space.

    Stroller rentals are available for kids under 24 months, and you must leave your ID at the information desk.

    How many types of dinosaurs are there in the museum?
    A.
    Seodaemun Museum of Natural History is the only natural history museum in the downtown city of Seoul with dinosaurs. The Central Hall displays the Acrocanthosaurus, on the second floor;Life Evolution Hall displays stegosaurus, pachycephalosaurus, triceratops, protoceratops, velociraptors, and the skulls of tyrannosaurus, edmontosaurus, and triceratops. There is also a model of elasmosaur, which is not a dinosaur but plesiosaurs, and pteranodonand Tupuxuara, which are pterosaurs. There is a model of troodon taking care of its young in its nest. On the outdoor terrace of the manmade lawn of the third floor is Dinosaur Park, which exhibits models from the Jurassic Era including allosaurus, brachiosaurus, and stegosaurus, visitors can touch and take pictures with the dinosaurs.

    Is there a restaurant in the museum?

    There is no restaurant in the museum, but there is a snack corner with a range of snacks.

    Are photographs allowed?

    Non-flash photography is allowed on a limited basis, but use of flash/tripod, selfie stick etc., and taking photographs for commercial purposes are prohibited. Please follow these rules for the protection of our exhibitions and for the comfort of your fellow visitors.

    Is there a shuttle bus to the museum?
    A.
    There is no shuttle bus available to the entrance of the museum. For those taking public transportation, there is a 250m walk up a hill to the entrance.

    What are the fee schedule for guardians of people with disabilities?
    A.
    For people with Grade 1-3 disabilities and their companion admission is free. The sameapplies forpeople with grades 4-6 and for only people with a disability. (must own disability registration card)

    Are there lockers available?
    A.
    There are lockers beside the Center Hall elevator and by the entrance of the 1st floor exhibition hall. Usage fee is 100 KRW.
