Core Values

  • Exhibitions
We foster an understanding of changes in the Earth’s environment and evolution of plants and animals through permanent, planned, and special exhibitions and various publications. We also aid in predicting the future of the global environment and cultivate preservation awareness.
  • Education
We offer education to understand the creation of Earth, origin of life creation and division of species, and biodiversity and to aid in finding clues to solutions for climate change, food problems, and diseases threatening sustainable humanity.
  • Research and Conservation
Our collection and research of natural history materials are incorporated into our exhibitions and education to help understand the lives and responses of past organisms and predict the future. We also promote widely the importance of protecting Earth’s ecosystems and natural environment, working together to preserve biodiversity.
  • Community Engagement
    and Participation
We encourage residents to develop interest in and gain knowledge of the natural sciences, help children aspiring to become natural scientists realize their dreams through the museum, and ultimately foster ecosophy within the community.
