Pteranodon

    • Pteranodon, meaning “wing without tooth,” was a flying reptile existing in the Late Cretaceous period. With a wingspan of over 6 meters, Pteranodon fed on fish, mollusks, crabs, and insects and sometimes scavenged on dead animals. Pteranodon outnumbered any other Pterosaurs in terms of fossil specimens, with more than 1,200 specimens known to science.
