Emergence of Mankind
Section Introduction
- Primates made its appearance approximately 70 million years ago and under the animal classification, primates belong in Chordata, Mammalia, Primates, and Hominoidae. Primates include monkeys, chimpanzee, gorillas, orangutan, and the differences between these primates and humans are that humans have a developed brain, does not have fur, and have opposable thumbs and fingers which enable humans to use tools.
- The exhibition displays the evolution of mankind with models of the oldest ancestor Homo habilis to the most recent, Homosapiens, for easy understanding.
